Whilst flinging open your nation’s doors and hanging our signs saying “everyone welcome” seems like a virtuous thing to do, inviting the 3rd world into your living room turns out to be bad for the 3rd world and for your living room.
As this video graphically illustrates, shifting millions upon millions of people around the globe is not a solution to the existential crisis’ the developed world is facing or the chronic poverty the undeveloped world is suffering. It’s akin to trying to bail out the Titanic with a teaspoon. What’s needed is some selfless missionaries who will put their heads above the parapet and go the problem at source, not social justice worriers [sic] who bury their heads in the sand and invite the problem to flow downstream to us.
Although this video gives an America-centric message, see any of the Mark Steyn videos I’ve posted recently to get the Euro-centric perspective – where the problem is in many ways even more stark.
